New Panasonic 8K camera in the works.....

We knew it was coming eventually. I guess I was just expecting less of a big box with wires going out to a recorder and more of an all-in-one unit. It's still a bit early though, so maybe this is just the prototype.
Either way, it doesn't sound like a camera in my ballpark and certainly doesn't seem like the technology is close to ready for a GH body.
 
It seems to be targeted more towards being a broadcast camera. I suspect it won't have the knobs and switches a cinematographer would want.
