New Panasonic 4K 60P Camcorder HC-X1000

They mention MOS chip for the U.S. and MOS-type for Europe... what's the difference? Very interesting camera, but 29.5 mm on the wide end (35 equivalent) is kinda a deal breaker... give me 24 and I'm there.

Wow , really interested in this camera. I wonder if it uses the same sensor as the AG-AC90. I remember someone stating that the AC90 down sampled from 4K

Really nice pro feature sets on this camera

I would like to see some low light 4k shots as the Sony cameras were a disaster in low light

Does it have scene file???? Or c1, c2, c3 like the GH cameras??? I have become very dependent on Panasonic's easy way of switching settings/ modes.

It does have three user customizable function buttons, though I have no idea if these would let you swap settings.

The 4K Ultra HD 150Mb/s is for the 60p mode, which now makes me wonder if this is the GH4 September firmware surprise.

begs the question, where is the AF100 replacement with these specs? has to be right around the corner...

Built in ND, XLR, f1.8 lens, interchangeable lens would be nice, but I like it.

4K
MP4
4096 x 2160p / 24 fps (100Mbps)

i see a lot of compression as well. thought it could be youtube but many other 4k videos don't exhibit this kind of breakdown.

also felt like i was watching "interlaced" much of the time. anyone else notice that?

the horse running on the right side (60fps) looked like venetian blinds. then the close up of the guy holding the camera and rotating looked beyond horrible as well. its all over the video. did no one else see this?

Good thing I still have my SGpro - that'll make this the cheapest 60p full frame 4K DCI camera on the market :p

Seriously though, I do a lot of stuff for which this would actually be pretty awesome.

Interesting camera indeed! Looks a lot like a step-up from the AC90 overall. Looks great except for concerns about the sensor and low light. Also wish it had a slow motion 120P in one of it's HD recording modes. I wonder what else Panasonic has up their sleeves?

The form factor seems nice.

I also like these two options (from B&H):
- 30,840 x 2160 / 59.94 fps (150Mbps)
- 19,020 x 1080p / 29.97 fps (50Mbps)

Now those are some crazy specs ;)
