Of course they use 'FF equivilent' for FOV, but not 'FFequivilent' for DOF, a 1in sensor has a lot of DOF at 1.8

DP Review did a spec comparison between the 24-85 and Sony RX-100IV - not that anyone else couldn't do it - and pointed out that they are essentially the same. The main difference is that the Nikon compact is $300 cheaper, at $650 vs. $950 for Sony. And, in Barbara Walters' spectacular vernacular, "This means wo". (in other words, Nikon is now competing against Sony's 4K compacts full blast, with Panasonic caught in between)

The colors are nice. Hues and tone look good in this example. Not overly sharp. But man, let's hope that is YT compression I'm seeing.DL24-500 4K UHD sample video:
So far five questions are still not answered about Nikon DL series:
- is it uses full sensor for 4K or just crop, like Panasonic FZ1000 or TZ100 (http://www.photographyblog.com/reviews/panasonic_lumix_dmc_tz100_review/)
- video bitrate in 4K (Panasonic TZ100: 100 Mbit/s / MP4, Sony Rx100 IV - 100 Mbps/s but with better XAVC-S codec)
- video stabilisation in 4K (Panasonic TZ100 is medium, LX100 is bad, Sony RX100 IV is okay)
- video recording time limit in 4K (Panasonix TZ100 is 5 minute, Sony RX100 IV is 5 minute too, Panasonix LX100 is 15 minute)
- is the 1 inch image sensor based on old Nikon J1 (noisy), or first gen Sony (e.g. cropped in 4k) or the new gen Sony (like the one used in RX100 IV)
