New Music Video!!!!!!

Hey Noah,

I like the video, but dislike the music.

The first couple shots are great!
I like the 8mm matte overlay with the feathered edge giving it a vignette feel.
One bad thing about the 8mm matte is I see footage from behind the matte showing through at the top every once and a while. Maybe the opacity/feathed edge needs to be darker?
To me this type of music is worse than jive talkin ebonic rap for the same reason, I can't understand the he11 they are screaming.
It seemed like all the lighting was from above giving the band dark eye sockets and making it hard to see them which is not good or bad but more of an artistic choice.
I like the extra atmosphere with the fog/smoke.
I think all the post effects/cc/etc muted all the color and made the video seem very 2d. I'm sure the full rez versiuon is much better.
I didn't see and DOF or rack focusing. Was the space small?
Seems like the editing matches the tempo of the song pretty well.
It's evry hard to understand what the story is about with the guy rubbing his hands over the tools. Is he a serial killer?
Wow I hate this music...I watched the vid 3x to give you some feedback.

My fav vid of yours is still Escape From Earth.

Thanks for the comments so far. It was shot on straight dvx, everything was literally last minute on this proejct. I showed up in Israel and they called me to do a video. Shot it in less than 4 hours due to the Sabbath (where everything shuts down in Israel). The light streaks were done in post productions with after effects. The same with the film effect and shakes. Although i try to understand some of your criticism, but sometimes as artists we have to look past the personal taste of music and strictly on the visuals. But as a music video director, i also understand that if one doesnt like the music they tend not to like the video. But hey that personal taste. I think for this market and demographic it's a kick ass brutal video! It should have airplay on MTV Europe and on 120 mintues on MTV. Thanks for the comments so far. Another DVX video making it to the networks! WOO HOOO!!!
 
overall good pacing and timing on the cuts....nice effects too....and the fac tthat it was last minute makes me wonder what could have been done with more time(definitely a compliment)...... :)
 
wait, you mean thare wasn't anything wrong with the mic? Wow! Well then this is a suer nice video... I thought that guy probably sounded like Enrique Iglesias but the mic was broken and I was gonna say that it looked a bit dark for that kind of music. Sorry, I have many friends who I've worked for that do music like such, j/k.
It looks great, nice effects, very nice colors and all. Good job! They must be stoked with it.

The vid is pretty much like all metal vids, nothing special. effects are cool...
The band is good, nothing special either,
good job man! you do stuff for roadrunner... lucky bastard
