You dont get it what im talkin about i guess. Acting is very much a part of a music video, i dont mean acting as in lines you gotta remember and say. I mean it as in when your expressing a feeling in your lyrics, you gotta express it visually as much as you do with vocals. When she is screaming or saying something with alot of emotion into it, she looks dead and not like she is really trying to mean it in some parts, i dont mean it in the whole video but there are some parts of it where shes just blah, yeah im here, lets get it over with, i want to go home type of attitude. I dont see how some of your aren't seeing this, i seen it very clearly the first time i watched it and seeing it more each time. Maybe im more into it cause i am a musician and i have performed live a few times and realize that your performace is the biggest part of your music career. im not saying i have a very big music career but i do atleast understand that much about it. and same thing goes with music videos.

You guys know what im saying right?

Thank you guys for all the feed back. I like being a part of this group.. We can all teach each other something, this will make us a better filmmaker.

I think someone ask me if I shot this with the DVX100. I shot both videos with the dvx100 camera. You can see the other video on my website.

I like all of your videos, but this last one is really nice, i love the colors and mood, and that's one of my favorite jams( The Time). I'm about to get a DVX100A from Rush and would like to know how this shot was setup and what was used if you don't mind. Thanks and much success.

See this Passion video, the actress is doing great... thats cool, she shows her emotionjs with her whole body doing this one. Hehe, i love it!!!! keep up the good work there. Great work doing it. What all did you do on this anyway? Do you do ALL THE WORK? if not, you need to, its always good to do it all yourself and maybe have a friend runnin around helpin you with sets and stuff. Keep it up!

I just finished watching Big Logic and I was wondering how you lit the night scenes? Actually most of the cinematography in your work is fantastic.

Did you use the original lens only? Or did you add anything on (mini35 or an even wider lens or a tele etc.)?

Also, how heavy is your post? I mean on color correction?

I use the standard lens that came with the camera, Yes I do my own post sitting at home. But I do own five system, so two I setup for rendering farm.

So it make it a little faster.

I know this may not be the proper forum for this, but the answer to this question is either going to make or break my theory. You shot this video with original 100, did you not? I'll bet you if you shot this exact same scene with 100A as opposed to 100, you would not have ANYWHERE near same look. I don't care what anyone says- I have paid the price and have the scars to prove it. I own both cameras and I will bet you this was shot with 100. Somebody, ANYBODY prove me wrong. I don't want to hear about "taking time to match settings, b.s." The difference is clear- Don't even tell me- I know I'm gonna start something now. Some people got a dream- I got a theory, and its becoming fact -very quick, looks like. This is why Panasonic won't answer my calls. " ...you can't handle the truth" :-X :-X :-X

You are right the videos shot with the DVX100 camera & not the 100A. Some people have told me the samething about the dvx100a

wow, DVX does have very usable lens out of the box then! The wide angle and shallow DOF looks wonderful!

What's wrong with 100A? You mean the video looks different from DVX100? Please show me your previous thread regarding the issue since I'm going to make decision on purchasing either the 100 or 100A lately! Thanks!

However, (calm now) you may not take my word. Just casually look around, note what looks good and what looks better, and think to yourself, and muse, and ponder, and think some more, and ask around, and then do what I did and BUY TWO "A" MODELS FOR A BIG FREAKIN' TRIP TO MOROCCO TO SHOOT FOR A BIG ASS CLIENT WHO WANTS HIS STUFF TO LOOK AS GOOD AS YOUR DEMO REEL THAT YOUR DUMB ASS SHOT ON A REG.100,THINKING IF MY STUFF LOOKS THIS GOOD, SURELY IT'LL LOOK BETTER WITH THE "BETTER" 100A, ONLY TO FIND YOUR DUMB ASS WAS LIED TO VIDEOWISE, AND WITH A BUNCH OF WORTHLESS AUDIO, THAT MONITORS FINE IN THE FIELD AND THE F***ING METERS SAY O.K. BUT WHEN YOU GET BACK AFTER 6000 MILES AND 10 GRAND LATER, YOU FIND YOU GOT A MUDDY PICTURE AND WORTHLESS AUDIO, AND THE BIG ASS CLIENT SUES YOU AND THEN ( repeat) AND THEN HAVE PANASONIC BLAME THE DEALER YOU BOUGHT THE WORTHLESS S**T FROM.

Don't want to end on a negative note. Absolutely stunning. Gorgeous! I was doing handsprings and cartwheels throughout my studio. OH YEAH BABY!!! THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I'M TALKIN' BOUT!!! F4 stock default setting? I am furiously making notes. Yes, beautiful lighting, and oh yes, wonderful framing and composition for the most part, perhaps not quite as engaging emotionally as IAL's SHORT, but visually extraordinary- beautiful, almost hard to conceive of obtaining such wonderful images; excellent, and I mean positively excellent. Someone direct me to anything that looks better visually, and don't say McDermott, its great, but I mean better visually. I wish I could get such great looking stuff. What's that you say-dump the 100A's? :-X

So the problem on your 100A is audio dropout. I read that thread last night. Since this is a MTV (audio was dub), so I thought you were mentioning about video.

so, better to buy from authorized pana dealer oh 8)
