Shot last weekend. Used 720/25p and a modified version of Barry Greens "contrast" scenefile from the book. Edited and CC'd in Vegas Pro 9.

This was shot for our second series of our TV show for 2009, "Country Crossroads" and will air in the 5th show followed by CMC early 2010.

not a fan of than song but that aint ur fault :D... I didnt like the scenefile for this one so much. I think its the overexposure look..and something about the colour that i cant really put my finger on. I could work with the colour, but the overexposed look i didnt like. the shots with her in the sun could def use a bounce card to fill in her face...however if u were working alone i understand.

I liked the tracking shots and i like how u thought about the whole frame...4ground and such. Putting the objects in the 4ground was nice and def helped the tracking.

Thanks Darren,, I was wondering when someone would pipe up on this one.!

She's great to work with, the clip was fun to make. We do these clips with zero budget basically,,, nothing special, just me, my dolly and home made rail system, some glidecam and we basically make it up as we go along!!!

I guess you just ain't a country boy! Cheers mate.

Not a big country fan...but I do like some of the songs...espcially that other one u have with these group of guys...I can't remember the name. That had me whistling all day lol. Yeh I get the working alone thing (story of my life).

She does look pretty kool to work with just based off her vibe..pretty attractive 2.

nice work shaun.
i only like the contrast file on the medium-c/u shots of the singer....those came out perfect with your settings! (see 0:56)
otherwise, i agree, the extreme contrast doesn't work well for me in most of the locations/sets. i guess its the c/u shots that work better....the wide shots don't look good with so much of the shadows crushed into oblivion. =)
or, another way i could describe it:
your settings work well in those c/u shots because there's detail and plenty of color,
but in the wide shots we lose a lot of detail to the clipped highlights and shadows and the color appears less saturated as well (overexposed).

also, at 1:02, i wouldn't have cut back to the same shot again from the insert of the cymbal.
in general, i use inserts (C/U cutaways) to be able to jump to a very different shot with different framing, which i think works better than going back to the same framing (as in 1:40-1:44).
