T2i New Music Video. Please give feedback.

Simple, short, sweet. I really liked how it was mainly, or only, those 2 shots/scenes, but it didn't seem boring or monotonous. The shots themselves looked great, you either did some good CC or got the settings just right on ur cam. What camera did you shoot with? Lenses/settings/etc?

Good Job.

The lighting i liked most was the bathroom scene and the color correction you did on it.
The only things you could have done different is closer shots on the guy when he is sitting on the couch, Also with the couch shots have a more contrast ratio between your highlights and shadows on his face. Meaning dont light as flat.

But decent job the T2i has power.

I personally thought it looked like something you just decided to shoot right then and there. Lighting was horrible and it seemed like no planning of the set was applied. At 30 seconds in is that your own shadow that goes over his face?

With so many bands and now this whole dslr thing everyone has a music video, so I think it is extra important to figure out a way to stand out from everyone else now.

The only way to separate yourself is with lighting, Doesn't matter what camera, film or video. But lighting and framing is everything

What about art direction? Lighting isn't everything. It's a lot, but not everything.

I'll agree with Austin and Keaten. Why'll the HD does look awesome, it doesn't mean you should film yourself in your bathroom and kitchen, lip sync something and call it a music video. This just looks too clean and nice for the song, needs some grit.

Thanks for all the great feedback. This was just a little promo music video. I used some crappy light set from amazon. (PBL Lighting) Don't call me just a nobody who picked up a DSLR camera... because I am not. The video was not supposed to have a concept it was just supposed to be him having fun around the apartment. I agree I could of done a couple more shots. We are trying to get him signed from Pittsburgh, he just relesed a mixtape if anyone wants to check him out http://www.reverbnation.com/mykoolb#!/artist/artist_songs/1201263 This video was made in 2 hours to keep his buzz up in the area by the way I am still learning how to color grade. I used canon t2i and 35mm prime lens. Thanks!
