Brittany, one of the best places to get old prime glass is on ebay, keh.com, and believe it or not, shopgoodwill.com. I have bought many that way and my favorite one so far is my Asahi Takumar 50mm f1.4 (M42 mount). Other faves is a Spiratone 20mm f2.8, Yashica DX 28mm f2.8 and Sigma 24mm f2.8 Superwide II. As far as the two Canon lenses you mentioned, it really would depend on what shooting conditions and scenes you're shooting and if you're using a crop or full-frame body. If you start a thread or need further advice, let me know.My name is Brittany. I've joined so I can ask if anyone knows how to go about looking for old prime lenses? And to get opinions on the Canon 24mm f/1.4 versus the 24-70mm f/2.8 when shooting video. Is this limitation on new members the reason I can't start a thread? I just spent 20 minutes trying to do that, and gave up.
