New machined baseplates for HPX and HVX

$130?!!?

seriosuly....

like some small peice of metal that takes less then 20 min to make haha.

You buy your own CNC machine, the software and space to run it and you tell us what they should charge.

130 is perfectly reasonable.

I just bought one for my HPX and popped it on last night... yes, it is money well spent. Centering the lens is awesome for using an adapter... saves time from adjusting a baseplate. Also, it feels more so much more solid. I would certainly recommend even though I don't plan on slinging it over my shoulder with it still mounted on a tripod. But, there may be a hood mount in the future, which will give me more piece of mind...

I own a bridgeport mill and several other industrial quality metalworking machines and I would purchase a baseplate from Spec-Comm before I'd manufacture my own. I don't think people understand the cost and effort required to manufacture small batches of machined goods and anodizing.

I doubt Spec-Comm is making much profit on these items.
