No white balancing done and evening light was pretty intense but I think they look pretty sharp, especially the first one for wide detail. For this test I used Nikon 100mm f2.8 and 50mm f1.8 lenses and my latest VIVIDRGB preset (straight out of the camera, no cc):
Great looking grabs, especially the wide one! Usually these adapters introduce CA when you go wide but your treeline is remarkably clean. Do you happen to remember what aperture you used for that particular shot? Have you had any problems with not being able to zoom enough to get rid of vignetting/light falloff? Because I'm having hard time with my wdr35 doing that, I can zoom to 71 and then I loose the focus on GG and there's still some vignetting going around the edges. Ofcourse you can use smaller apertures to reduce it. Any advice?
im wondering. I have been readin on the m2 redrock/ letus things. This rod thats used for follow focus how does that work exactly? do you still not need to use the camera's focus once you have an adapter?
i have no idea about adapters so go easy on me. I do however do photography on the side. I just know the lenses, cameras, fstops, etc.
Basically you zoom in to the ground glass on the adapter, focus using the camera and then lock it. All rack focus after this is done by the lense. The follow focus basically put a gear on your lense so that you don't have to touch it to do rack focus, the rod is for support.
and the ground glass is the piece of glass between a1 and the camera lense? also when you say lock it(on the a1), is that mechanically done or you just dont touch it after its focused.
That's awesome, man. Can you post a picture of your a1 + letus? And would you happen to have some other letus screengrabs too?
Does anybody also have expierence with the Letus Flip Enhanced with a Canon FD lens? I might buy this adapter with the FD lens mount, since those lenses are so cheap, but I don't really know about the quality.
To lock down my letus to the support I placed some velcro tape to both the support base and to the letus35. In addition to using the strap that wraps around the letus. Very sturdy.
