NEW indiSLIDER 99 Bucks

Despite misgivings about the indislider's overall quality, I'm planning to place an order soon to use on some upcoming projects (I don't have the time or resources for any of the DIY alternatives). My question is, is the "deluxe" model really worth the extra $70?Do the legs really help, or could something similar be used for essentially the same purpose? Also, how helpful is the head? Looking to place an order soon, just wanted to double check.

IndiSlider Sample Footage

I just popped up a bog post after getting an IndiSlider and also a few sample shots. So far pretty happy, give it maybe an 8/10. You can read the post and see the shots here www.tdepost.com

I just got my Indislider Mini yesterday and I've been playing with it like a nerd ever since. The thing is rock solid with my stock DVX mounted. I love it. I didn't get the deluxe model, but I liked the idea of the feet. I just screwed two quick release plates where the feet would go and it works like a charm.

For the price, I'm shocked by the quality.

Deluxe absolutely is worth extra $70. Legs do provide extra stability on flat surfaces. However, difference is the head. It has a bubble level, allows you to tilt your camera and turn it 360(on the slider), which isnt possible with the cheaper one.
{If you are good at DIY you can always add these yourself but at this price why bother? }
It is a great piece for the price.

Just posted this on the GH1 subfourm. Think you guys might be very interested:

After digging all the previous post here, I found that the indiMOUNT is not detachable from the sliding carriage.

That means, like I always use my own fluid head, have to attach my head onto the indiMOUNT puck/quick release. This is not what I like because the more adaptors on adaptors the more wobble in between pieces.

My another question, is the DELUXE pistol grip ($169 ver) NOT detachable as well like the indiMOUNT ($99 ver)

I run my own business, so I understand Tim can be very busy. but yes, he definitely needs more customer service hands to be a better business.

Thanks all.

im interesting to get the indislider mini from tim.
the shipping charge from tim website after check out show USD12.XX , may i know the price is flat rate international shipping ?

Give Tim a call. He is a great guy. Very one on one with his client base. He plays extremely fair. Have been dealing with him for a couple of years now.

Woah...this is not good...I just ordered an indislider two nights ago, and I'm in Sydney, Australia. I hope the build quality is ok...contacting him from Australia is gonna be hell if something is wrong with it...

I ordered a slider on March 25th and got it yesterday...build quality was pretty good and overall I am pretty happy... e-mailed once and called twice and never got a response but got the product so I guess it all comes out in the wash...

so you all suggest that we just go ahead and purchase online and Tim will deliver the products to me @ Malaysia at no extra charges?

i called tim 10x and still no luck to reach him.
=(

last week i notice that tim already updated his website. now the shipping charge will show correct rate when u choose your country region.
so i ordered direct from website and today i received ship notification email from usps . hopefully will arrive my door within 1 week.
good job tim!

I have a couple of questions about this. I just ordered the mini slider with the table legs. I have an old set of bogen legs I plan to mount the slider on, and will be using my HMC150. Is it possible to put a manfrotto 501hdv head on the slider, or atleast use the 501's quick release plate on the indislider at all? Thanks!

I ordered a FF with snap gears on the 2nd.. Still no word from Tim. Tried calling and e-mailing him to no avail.
Anyone heard from Tim lately? Is he okay?

Great. I hope everything is okay. I ordered a minislider this morning. I did get a confirmation e-mail of the order though.
