NEW indiSLIDER 99 Bucks

Mine came about a week ago. You get what you pay for, but I will say that it definitely has some potential for the VSLR arena. I just need some more time to tweak it then I will report back.

I've got an XH-A1, HV20, and am looking at getting a 5D MkII. How is the pistol grip for basic pans while sliding? This would be a great tool to add to my arsenal for when I don't want to lug around my Swift Dolly.

With good coordination it's doable but not recommended at all. Keep in mind that the slider itself emits a bit of play so trying to eliminate or reduce slider play and keeping your pan level is gonna be a major challenge. You're better off throwing a fluid head on for pan slides. The pistol grip is only good for repositioning angles and dutching/canting shots. Not for pans/tilts while recording. Especially with a heavier camera like the xh.

just received the package. All i can say i am really disappointed with the workmanship..and its definitely not as smooth as everyone comment. best of all, none of my emails got any reply

I still love my Cinevate Pegasus - was a little more, but I think is also much better, as I can easily mount my bowl-fluid head onto it and it is super, super smooth.

Yeah, I feel your pain regarding the email situation. What has become extremely clear is that you have 0% chance of getting an email replied to but if you get on the phone to Tim he is very accommodating (or so I have heard). Call him and tell him you're not happy.

+1 for Cinevate. Their products are rock solid. Their prices have increases a bit, but thats the economy for ya I guess.

^Tim ships pretty quick. I got mine in like 3-4 days I think.

FYI, i just reworked my sliders cylindrical base plate. I swapped and actual allen screw for the threaded stud it came with -- huge improvement, i'd put way more weight on it now.

Ordered it as well about 4 days ago, although I am on Australia and he hasn't said anything to me about shipping costs, hope he'll let me know soon.

The indislider mini deluxe is a waste of money. Mine went right into the garbage. Wobble galore, smoothness a joke, and adjustments where useless. Go with a homebuilt zaza or glidetrack.

I'll pay shipping if your just gonna dump it

Did you call Tim he is really good with service perhaps yours was defective?

Still working on the IndiSlider Mini vs Igus Slider side by side.
Results so far...
Igus system is noticeably smoother and quieter. Based on my friction brake design versus the Indislider side friction brake, my brake is smoother and more sensitive to adjustment ( that's good) . The included pan only 'rotator' on the IndiSlider Mini is OK but not adjustable. You really either lock it down completely or loosen it completely.
I just received an amazing pan only head from a company called Feisol PB-70 ( $40 + shipping) and man is that thing smooth ( no click stops)! reasonably priced too. So even out the gate, the Igus slider + Feisol pan head wins, but field tests are in order in a day or so ( been raining for a week here) . Indislider is an excellent value for the money if you grease it down well with Vaseline, which I found makes a big difference in smoothness.
