The HVX Book will probably have a Japanese version; haven't considered doing a DVX Book version.ncje said:Time to translate the DVX book into Japanese Barry?
Xenophon said:I think the video is ok. It is what a tourist would get if he just put the camera in auto and used a dv tape. I can tell it's not a dvx. The behaviour with the sun in frame proves it is an hvx. I also think it is representative of what a camera can do in the hands of a tourist in a typical shooting situation.
Lets face it. Tourists do not come with a director of photography, they usually do not know what a polariser is, they don't have enough time to shoot in golden hour and they use auto mode. Tourists also do not like 4minute P2 cards
I don't think that samples for the typical user of a camcorder should be shot professionaly. The user will expect a level of image quality he will not get and probably be quite disappointed with his new camera.
It doesn't look bad? The latitude looks terrible. I'm not convinced that's a production-level HVX, or an HVX at all.SPZ said:I agree completely. The footage is highly compressed, but doesn't look that bad at all. Let's not forget we are watching this in a computer screen, not on an SD tv.
