New HPX170 user, need help

I have followed several articles and threads on the topic, but I can't seem to get it to work.

I recently purchased a HPX170 and I am trying to get it to show up on my Mac. I have an iMac 27" i3 that is running Mac OS X 10.6.7. I can't for the life of me get it to recognize the camera. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I am, admittedly, a novice.
 
Could you detail how you are trying to mount the p2 card?

Is 170 set to in USB DEVICE or 1394 DEVICE?

Have you set the mode button to light up the MCR lamp and then hold the button down (for  or more seconds).

The PC lamp now lights, and PC mode is established.

When the P2 card is in an accessible status, USB (or 1394) DEVICE CONNECT is displayed on the camera.

p2 card write protected?

Help us out?
 
David, my apologies. Its seem I overlooked some very simple. Now I am off to figure out my next enigma--using this camera for a live stream!
