New HPX170 rebate?

[ryanweiss89]

Has anyone heard what the new HPX170 rebate will be?

If its a 32Gb P2 Card, I'm throwing down for an HPX170!

32gb would be SWEEEET, but sounds too good to me ?

My guess is that given the value of the yen versus the dollar, you won't see this at all.

Guys,

I fought hard to keep the 16GB card and Barry's book in the box. David has the reason in his response.

Hope that helps,

Jan

Does that mean that the 16gb and Barry's book are still included?

[Jan_Crittenden]

In the US product, yes it does mean exactly that.

Best,

Jan

Jeeze that was a fast response Jan.
Thanks

I wish Panasonic Canada had a product manager as dedicated as you Jan and would at least make cool deals like that one! I've been looking to buy a second HPX170 for a little while but when I saw that the current price in Canada is 1300$CAN more than what I paid in december for mine just for the cam alone, my eyes nealry popped out of their orbits!

I think I'm gonna get a US HPX170 this time and get as an added bonus the 16Gb card + Barry Green book. Screw the warranty ; if Panasonic gives a 5-year extended warranty, it means they trust their product so I'm not afraid of buying US instead of CAN. When I do the maths, I get the HPX170 around 750$CAN cheaper than what my usual dealer sells for now, so that's a lot of dough... Add the card and the book to that deal and I'm sold!
