New horror feature shot with af100

I'll preface this, the way I always do on the forum, and first say congrats on finishing a feature, it is a really great accomplishment, and also take everything I say with a grain of salt, all opinions are subjective. You've got some cool imagery in here. The girl running through the corn, scarecrow baddie has some good moments, but for me overall this trailer needs a massive sound design and pacing overhaul. Sound is the biggie. IMO you need to do a full sound design pass, pump up music, lose the transition sfx on the titles and fill out the whole thing with creepy ambience, and nice build up and hits for your scary moments. The titles don't work for me, they don't do the material justice. Pacing wise you could cut this thing in half. Build up some of those nice wides, haunting imagery, a few of your best scares and then hit a rapid fire montage at the end. I feel like we see too much of scarecrow. He loses that scare factor quickly. You could try a lot of random cutting and dipping to black to make it feel more kinetic. But most of all give that sound design a big overhaul, 90% of a scary movie is in the sound. You def. have something cool cooking there, just needs some love.

Some great shots there. Congrats on finishing a feature! Regarding the trailer, shorter, tighter, louder!

Well, never having produced a movie I wanted to keep my first impressions until some experts chimed in! (my stuff is mainly training )
A lot of work gone in here, and the acting is pretty slick, very impressed. My only hopefully constructive observation was that the title sfx were not movie, more home movie- echoing Atrain, they must go. I concur on the titles too, they didn't work for me.

Lustgarten, this is good stuff, but please bear in mind my observations are from an outside viewer's POV which probably has some validity, and these are the two things that hit me immediately. Now back to the film makers!
Cheers!

Rod, so sorry meant to hit like on the bottom if your post and hit the down arrow by accident. Great post, I think it's good to get opinions from all content creators on here. Sorry about that again. Damn iPhone.

I think the comments are spot on. thanks for the input. cutting in fcpx and tried to hack a sound job together in it. Not a sound editor. I'll try to do some more on it.
