New HMC-150 Rattle when I tilt

So...

I just received my new HMC150 and when I tilt the camera front to back, there is a rattle noise. More like a thonk, and I can feel something inside the camera moving and hitting something. Almost as if something popped out of place and it's lose inside the camera and hitting the internals of the camera.

This happens when I tilt it forward and when I tilt it backward...

I don't know if this is normal, does all hmc150 do this???

yes, it is normal. I have been a DVX100/DVC80 user for a while and now have the HMC150 and they ALL have this little "Plunk" when you tilt it back and forth. of course it should stop doing this when you turn the camera on. From what I was told, its a little gear that locks into place when the camera is turned on. So really, you should not have to worry about it unless it continues to do so when the camera is on.

I just opened my HMC150 and I also heard the "CLUNK", man was I scared! But once again, thanks to this site I can sleep easy again!

tonk tonk thats a new sound
sounds like you broke it :)
If its working its ok
Go enjoy your new camera !

There was that guy selling a HMC-150 with the broken frame he JB-Welded back together. That thing would flex like an accordian.

I bet it made a few extra clunks and rattles.
