New hacked GH1 Kit sells for $1650 on Ebay

[Peter_F]

Amazing ! On the eve of the launch of the GH2 a new hacked GH1 with kit lens sold for $1650 on Ebay yesterday. Vitaliy adds big value !!

New unhackable GH1 kit = $1150. Hacked = $1650. Wow!!!

It is not Vitaliy.
It is few stupid Panasonic managers.

Now that the GH2 is out I'm gonna be boned for finding a hackable GH1 in my price range. Time to fire up that Rebel XT haah

Am i right in guessing that if they have to release a firmware update of any kind for the GH2, we can have a new hack?
Or, are there things they can do to make it "unhackable"?
I must say, I have a few video cameras, but after using the hacked GH1, I cant imagine buying another standard video camera again.
Lets just hope the guys in charge at Panasonic can see the light and allow this "project" to move forward.

History shows that invention of a new better shield is usually followed by invention of a new better sword that can pierce it. If you have something valuable to protect it is only a question of time (usually). Especially, when it is legal to do so.
