New guy 7q setup questions

Just unboxed my 7q and ssd's. activated monitor and fs700 option.
going through the setup, when I select mon record -> fs700 4k raw ->prores hd 3rd box from top right (where the framerate is) says not supported and down near the bottom it's flashing rec709 or slog2 camera gamma only...
I'm on a picture profile that has slog2 as the gamma...Is there somewhere else I should be selecting slog2?

Also the paper in the box says it's at firmware ver 1.11.100 but when I hit system status it says it's at firmware2.10.141 and shows the unit has been powered on 16 hours and 10 hour record time????
Did I get a used one from B&H?

no, the units are run at the factory to test them. Like new cars have 10 miles on them. The firmware on the box is printed, but from what I understand, CD will update the unit with the most recent firmware they have before shipping.

Are you SURE your FS700 RAW option is fully activated? Like when you go into the unit info (where you found "powered on time", did it list Sony RAW as being unlocked?

BTW, you should update your firmware ;)

You didn't mention this in your post, and you probably already did this... but make sure the FS700 is set to the 4K output mode for 4K2HD. I know I made that mistake when I first tried that O7Q mode and the camera was still in the ol' HD mode.

Where in the camera menu is that? I was thinking something like that but couldn't find anything in the menus

Chris, it sounds like you have your questions answered. Please let me know if there's anything else to which I can assist.

Sometimes our firmware gets ahead of our paperwork. We always load the latest available firmware into any unit we ship. But since your unit was shipped from our facility there has in fact been another firmware release, about a week & a half ago. You can update your firmware by downloading off our website. The entire process takes perhaps 20 minutes, and it will add several features to your FS700-enabled Odyssey7Q.
