C200: New Gimbal Reel - C100/C500/C200B

Dusting off my hard drives as the year winds down so I decided to create a gimbal reel to include in my portfolio. 100% of the footage was shot with my Ronin-M which has always been by my side as I've made my Canon journey from C100MKII to C500 to C200B.

Chris:

Great work as usual. Two notes. Too many lens flares in a row, either re-distrubute or switch out just a couple.
The CC on the motorcycle rider looks flat and too low contrast compared to the rest of your shots, which look great.
I agree too, fewer shots and track with them just a second or two longer would be more effective to show your operating skills.
I've seen enough reels where I can tell within about four shots if this person is good and you are.
If I am ever shooting down your way and need a gimbal operator/DP, you're on the list.

Awesome, thanks man!

To your & Sam's point that was a struggle for me when editing - do I do longer shots to showcase more skill or do quicker shots to keep things "sizzle-y"? With my goal being to get somebody to take the next step and reach out to me for a potential gig, I figured it'd be better to err on the side of sizzle-y and then I could always send links to actual projects if they want to see longer takes.

I'm feeling the too many flares in a row comment as well, will probably swap them around or swap some out once I have some newer clips.

I think it depends on your target audience for the reel.

To a general audience sizzle is good

To someone looking to add a gimbal operator to thier crew then they want the longs shots, the start and stops and specific moves..
