New G2 Firmware - Release the Hounds!

after using my g2 with the hack i have some notes to make

- video files longer than 30min are being splited in parts. e.g 0000.mts 0001.mts ...... though recorded whithout stoping.
- video duration is not displayed in my media player neither in ps3.
- sometimes when viewing pictures in playback mode, they turn to be unreadable data. you have to turn off the camera and on back again to work.
- manual movie mode works great

Just got a G2 today, unable to hack it. I've tried everything in the FAQ and more. I'm beginning to believe Panasonic released a new secret firmware.


Edit: Just confirmed that Panasonic has put a secret firmware on the G2. I am looking at my Camera Info screen that I got to from Temporary Service mode. It says version is 1.12:0000. Looks like no English menus for me.

Hello, have you managed to hack your G2 in the meantime? I've the same problems. Unable to hack my new one :(
 
lpowel this works great on my G2. also can playback in camera my videos!!!
Now the question is how can we overcome the 4 minute limit cause of fat 32?
 
I dont know how it works for you guys but for day i've been trying to get the bitrate to go up but my G2 just refuses to record above the stock bitrate. What am i doing wrong? I have a sandisk class 10 16gb 45mb/sec SD card.

i use lpowel's fast action gop 3 frame patch and thw bitrate is under 10mbps :cry:
picture is good though but if only we could find a PERFECT G2 SETTINGS.....:)
any news about third party batteries??
