Other: New G Series XQD Card V2.

Good news all around, but I went with the Sony cards yesterday and they come with an included reader, which is 40% faster than the standalone reader that I used with the Lexars. These new readers don't recognize my Lexar 1333 cards, but it's no issue, as I have both kinds of reader.

BTW, I ordered them 4pm yesterday and they arrived 9:45am this morning. That's service! Thanks B&H!

Well, guess it's time to retire my 64 GB cards and buy a few 128 GB's and never need to dump cards on 4K shoots because I have close to a TB of cards :D

Insane how cheap they got. Great time to buy into the FS7 system now!

Yup! I'm up to 27 minutes of 4K 60P on each card now. Can't wait till 256GB cards become available. Then I can get though a concert without swapping cards at the intermission.

Thanks for the correction on the 2933x. Glad I was wrong.

Meanwhile, the revised G series will fit in the SxS adapters.

The new M cards are primarily designed for HD and for the Nikon DSLR's that use XQD cards. They are not guaranteed for 4K recording in the FS7.

Not going to speculate yet BUT... I wouldn't be surprised if this new Sony A9 isn't somewhat related to the new v2 card. The price dropping makes it more accessible to everyone when they buy these new cameras.

I was surprised when the FS5 didn't have XQD slots and we'd miss out on the economies of scale dropping the price of the XQDs.

The A9 rumour looks interesting, I hope it shoots 10 bit SLog3 SGamut3.cine etc and I'll be in the queue for one.

Meanwhile CVP UK still have the XQD128GB at £365+VAT. UK has been known for a long time as Treasure Island.

I own the A7RII for photos and use it as a second camera to the FS7. So I would be very excited about a slightly bigger A9 with all of the professional features I need in a photo camera but can also shoot amazing video as well that can match up with my FS7. I would sell my A7RII in a heart beat for this camera.

Adorama have the new cards at the new low price.

I'm going to send a few emails to UK dealers to see if they can clarify why they have yet to drop their prices. It could be they don't yet have the new AJ stock and still selling A version cards.

I do try and support local whenever I can but the price difference is so enormous we'd be stupid to buy in the UK ATM.

What's up with these new 128GB G-series cards? Adorama and B&H both listed them for $160, but are out of stock; on ebay they are for $500-ish, and in EU for the same price as always... Should I wait, or was this price slash a one-off?

Ordered 6 x 128GB yesterday, couldn't resist. They are backordered though, don't know for how long :(

Please tell me what B&H policy is: if I order now a back-ordered product for the price listed, is the price guaranteed for me when it's in stock?

Wow, nice price. Goodbye Lexar cards ;-)

They are still priced at about 700 USD in Norway, including VAT.

Could anyone answer this for me, please? After my FS7K purchase I'm a bit short of money, so would prefer to pay later for my 128GB cards - but should the new price be raised again, I guess I'll order right away if I am sure I'll get them for $169 this way :) TIA
