Prices appear to have been slashed. $170

No doubt in the UK that'll convert to £250 but is still a lot less than £450

Edit: Are they really V2 or just a repricing? Answer repricing....

I wonder if stocks are being cleared for a new higher capacity series that is rated for all FS7 recording modes and maybe even for a new camera that shoots 6K at higher datarates...?

The B&H link is redirecting to an EBAY listing for some reason???

Does seem to be a price reduction. Yes, probably much more in UK but think of all the great things your VAT buys you that we don't get in US.

Wow, considering I was paying $295 for S series 64G cards a couple of years ago...and now they come with a free reader.
Such a deal.

Yeah, I spent 1500 on 4x 64gb cards just last year!

They seem to be identical to the ones I already have, anybody notice any differences? These are the top of the line cards, yeah?

Holy crap.. Just last September the production I was on bought 16 of the 64GB cards from B&H, at $330 a piece, now they're $106!! So much for the cost recouping theory I tossed at them that we could probably sell the cards for $100 each when the job was over.

There's something going on, the new pricing hasn't filtered through to UK dealers yet.

B&H had the preorders for M Series cards up well in advance of the UK dealers even acknowledging they were coming, so, I reckon B&H are ahead of the game and Sony are either repricing their XQD or B&H are getting rid of inventory because something better is coming. It's tempting to believe something new is coming given the time of year.

CVP in the UK still charging £365+VAT (£438) which you could comfortably beat buying from B&H and paying taxes and import duty.

The cards on the B&H Website have the MFR code of QDG128A/J the UK cards are listed as QDG128A not sure if that's always been the case.

If Sony lowered the pricing, the Lexar will be under pressure to lower theirs. Lexar typically prices about 60% of Sony's figure, so we could see sub $100 128gb cards soon.

Working on getting more details, but it seems that a couple of months ago Sony did make a change in the G series. They are slightly thicker (now 3.8mm) and the connectors are more recessed "to protect against contact breakage or accidental failure." I'll be putting up a piece on the web once I get a few more details from Sony. The Read speed of the M cards is 440Mb/s as opposed to a read speed of 350Mb/s on the G v2 cards. The G cards, however, have a write speed of 350Mb/s while the M cards are 80Mb/s for the 32gb card and 64gb and 128gb write speed is 150Mb/s.

G card read speed is slated to increase in a subsequent version.

Has anyone tried the Lexar's. The new 128GB is down to $159 at B&H and at 440MB/s should be more than fast enough for the FS7

User on the FB FS7 group confirmed they work with FW 3.1

Edit
Can't figure out how to post a large image.

Ned...if they are slightly thicker, any idea if they will still fit into the Sony SxS style adapters?

Is that the Lexar 2933x cards that used to not work?

I have Lexar 1333x and Lexar 1400x and they both work perfectly, my understanding has always been the 2933x cards do not work with the FS7.
