Hey just got the mail and updated my FS-100. The information is relatively poor, here it goes:

New Support Update Firmware Available for Download Now!

Hello,

FS-100 version 2.0.3 support update is now available for download from the Focus Enhancements website. As a registered FS-100 owner, please use the link at the bottom of this email to download the version 2.0.3 support update to bypass the registration process on the main support downloads web page.

This maintenance release improves the performance of FS-100 and it is recommended that all users update to this new version. Specifically, version 2.0.3.04110906 provides the following improvements:

Improved disk performance
Improved SDRAM interface to increase production to yield

Hi ... on the technical forum ... at length we talked about the red octagon and the spanned clips problems ... is this focus firmware update a solution to the problem or not realted ... ?
 
Yes, improved disk performance is general, but it's probably very technical and no one gets too technical with marketing info. It's just like Apple's info when a new FCS update comes out, some specific, some vauge info, followed up by "general imporved performance".

The spanned clip problem isn't the FS-100, it's Apple's OS bug. Focus is working on a solution to it on the FS, but it'll be a temporary work around until Apple fixes the way their OS handles P2 data.

Dude, be glad Focus is constantly imporving and enhancing the unit, you'll never know all the technical issues of anyone's update. That's just life...
 
Sure BenB...but still I think we won't be getting this year the real upgrade all FS-100 users been waiting for...anyway if the unit will work better is OK with me.
