GH4 New footage

Have any of the testers tried using Sandisk Extreme Pro 64GB card not the new one but the already available ones for recording 4K? I'd like to know if you are experiencing dropped frames as the speed should be fast enough for 4K

I have had no problem shooting handheld 4k on the GH4 with the sandisk. The 4k footage, while worse with rolling shutter, is just incredibly lovely when converted to 1080. No aliasing. The 1080 internal still aliases a lot with sharp edges at F8.

Since posting pet footage is a requirement for any new camera arrival, here's some ISO 800 Cinelike D footage I took a moment ago, the detail on the 4K is really astounding...

Has anybody tried: is it better shooting UHD and downconverting to 1080p or shooting 1080p 200 all-I ?

That's what I did in the footage above, I see noticeably more detail in the 4K down convert.

Ok, great. It's kinda hard to judge compression and detail quality from a compressed vimeo video:) Now, I wonder which would held up better in the grade when pushing the levels: UHD compressed to Prores 1080p or 1080p 200 All-I. If you get around to it I would really appreciate some feedback.

I'd say that the GH4 looks like a darn good investment.

Yep. Now all the people that complained about the GH4 and why we need 4K are going to be rushing to get one. From the beginning I knew this camera was going to be fantastic. Great footage is going to be shot with it. Feature films, TV series are going to be using it. Thank You Panasonic for furthering the revolution.
