This clip sold me way more then others. Be great to know..... what lens and what codex etc...
nice skin tones are important, to me
FYI, he was using Cooke S4i cinema lenses, which have a 105mm filter thread. A 105mm ND9 filter runs between $270-$400. These lenses are usually used on film shoots with a matte box that holds rectanngular filters.
It is mentioned that he doesn't own 105mm filters. And perhaps he didn't feel like using a matte box. The Cooke lenses do the job of testing for sharpness and 4k resolving ability of the GH4.
FYI some of the Panchros "mini S4s" can take 82mm CPLs, I know because i've done it many times.
Good to know. Unfortunately, I live in a part of the USA that doesn't have a huge production community, and availability of cinema lenses is limited, unless you rent them via mail. Not a whole lot of PL glass gets used at all around here. I shot 2nd Unit on a feature using a C300 with EF mount Zeiss CP2s, but that was my only experience with cinema lenses. That will change. Especially with my upcoming GH4!
