New Follow Focus on the Market (Can the Experts Please Chime In)

Saw this follow focus unit posted on a blog I follow and I decided to share it and get some opinions...looks pretty nice, solid build and pretty innovative...and at a price point $180 for the ff.

Looks like there making some pretty decent rigs to...

saw it on cheesycam....in a thread on I think it was the Tilta Follow Focus...someone commented..and provided a link to the website..so I checked it out and thought I'd share it here and get some opinions.

Not a bad deal at all. Seems to be a lot of middle eastern competitors popping up these days. And none of them have good English spelling

On another comment: Why do companies never demonstrate their rigs while focusing on the lens? Yeah it's great and all to see the many poses you could do, but we constantly need to re-focus, especially when you're moving around like that! If you used a handycam with autofocus then that's a bit more relevant..

Ikan friction follow focus works with the 20mm pancake, maybe the IndifocusZoom too!

The ebayer who has listed this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWAX:IT says it works with the 20mm. not sure if I trust his answer though. I know the Ikan does but apparently you cannot mark the focus points so that makes it less effective

Here is the reply from the ebay guy in India This package includes Gliders shoulder support + mini rail + Follow focus V2.

and Follow focus V2 with mini rail system will work with Panasonic GH1 and the 20mm pancake lens as camera plate of mini rail system slides to touch follow focus. SO it will easily adapt a compact lens like pancake.
