New Final Cut Pro Announcement at SuperMeet?

[Sumfun]

Pro Video Coalition just posted an article speculating that Apple will announce the new version of Final Cut Pro at the FCPUG Las Vegas SuperMeet on April 12th. They backed up this claim with confirmations from various speakers and sponsors that their speeches or sponsorships have been cancelled. Looks like Apple wanted the whole time for themselves. Now the Super Meet website has updated their agenda to show a "very special guest presentation."

[Matt Gottshalk]

Seems to be very Imovie-ish in a lot of ways. I hope that alot of these "automatic" features can be turned off.

Ugh.

[Batutta]

It looks different. I don't want anything to be different. I want everything to be the same always.

[Butcher]

I saw one tweet that said no audio/video track numbers or names. Not sure how I feel about that.

[Butcher]

Shipping in June, direct download available.

[Butcher]

Priced at $299! Is that for FCP X only? Does the suite still exist? Waiting on Twitter to tell me.

[Jarek Zabczynski]
