New extended power solution for GH2 using 7.2V DV style, EX1/EX3 batteries or 12-16V

We just set up a dedicated page for ordering. I think most if not all suggestions were reflected in how different configurations were put together. It was a great help, guys much appreciated. If you follow the link, and see something is not exactly clear, or could be made better please feel free to post or PM me directly. We should be able to start filling the orders in the next few days.

Oh hell yes. Do want. Also could you please please design a way to mount it to the camera without additional rails or anything, battery grip style?

Ha! ...I think this is beyond the scope of what Alex is offering. Manufacturing a proper battery grip would require a big capital investment, the finished product would likely cost as much as the Canon or Nikon grips, and you would have to sell a heck of a lot grips to recoup your initial investment. ( even Panasonic is taking their sweet time about building a grip )

If you don't want to use rails, then I imagine you could store the battery in a shoulder bag / back-pack / waist-pouch and just run a wire up to the camera.

Well said TheDingo. Also, need to keep in mind that this is a modular solution, each battery to be used differs in weight, size and construction. We will provide several ways to connect including the D-Tap. XLR4, car power. Also 2 mounting options. But the final configuration will vary depending on each individual preference. Here is the new product page (video)BTW.

This looks cool.. I noticed you mention 7.2v Panasonic batteries... looks like you mean DVX/HVX batteries.. what about something to allow using the GH1 battery with the GH2??

I'm interested but unsure as to which battery system to use. I dont have any legacy batteries to worry about. What do folks recommend?

Alex....just to be sure.....your adapter works with sony NP-F950 batteries....ones that the PD150 and FX-1 use???

Sure it does Mark. Just make sure you select the Sony plate flavor while ordering online.

Just added 12V-16.4V external power options.
