C100: New EF Zoom 55-250mm f4-5.6

lol I wonder, with a focal length of 55 x 1.5 = 82.5 , how could you run n gun with it unless its on tripod.

then if its on tripod then with the crowd in events, then ....

pretty hard to find a frame I guess, unless its a conference while you stuck right at the very back. and they do live switch while you just covering one angle.

I still love my 28-300 L even though nobody is interested in buying it lol.
 
Well, aside from the STM motor for auto focus during video, I don't think it's much different from the Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4.0-5.6 IS II. Since the C300 has no auto focus, and the C100 only has push-button, I'm not sure it's worth the slight premium. However, I think that the C100 is scheduled to get a full-time autofocus firmware upgrade in the future, so it may be useful for that camera once the feature is enabled. Otherwise, this is better suited to something like the 70D, and probably what it's designed for.
