New DVX Movie on Netflix

No that is not true. Rasquachemedia has it right. I just wanted to make a good moral film that everyone could enjoy and possible be inspired by. So take a chance and watch it. You will not become a Stepford Freak.

lol, i was just posting what i saw on the netflix site. just thought it was funny.
i personnaly think it's awesome u have this on netflix. more real indies need to be seen no matter what the content, nature or tone. diversity is the ultimate strenght of our culture.

Thanks for the kind words. I'll keep you in mind for the next project. I'm planning to shoot that on the HVX. Now I just need to get that script written.

Thanks for posting that Johnny Cola. I think it says a lot. I think it was Kanye West who said:

"They said they could rap about anything except for Jesus,
That means guns, sex, lies, videotape
But if I talk about God my record wont get played..."

Not that I think all the says and does is right but that nugget of truth is important. And the same is true for film. I find it funny how people have such a strong reaction to what they feel may have a pro Christian message. Whether the film is good or bad.

Ironic I don't see this guy screaming about the way Hollywood mind controls us. Telling us all we need to do is have sex and buy things and our lives will be fulfilled. Telling women to become bone thin so they can buy designer clothes. (Here's an idea make clothes for people not people clothes). And when they women lose their feminine form from crash dieting etc, and now they're so thin the solution, just go buy implants.

It's mind control all the way around but if someone even makes a film about a religious character there's hell to pay from some in the secular community (even though 90% of filming in American is secular). I have a couple of films that even though they're secular movies, I know will upset many because of their positive outlook on Christian people and values. Too bad I've really really given up caring what people think. If we can talk about everything else then God's fair game too.

Congrats, Perception. You're going to get stuff like this from people (keep in mind the negative review is from a person who hasn't even seen it). Tell the story you want to tell. I hope it gets really big and upsets a lot of people, because if you upset people but you're not doing anything bad, that means you're on the right track. God bless.

Preception, HVX... that sounds cool. i have a music doc and soundtrack i'm releasing that i hope to generate enough extra income with to get a couple of HVXs in my closet. i guess time will tell *sigh*
also if you could tell us the process you went through to get in netflix, if you can.

Nate, your right about hollywood man, i guess that's why they call it programing, lol.
just curious are you SDA? i saw the book references on your imdb and was wondering.

Nathyn that is so true. I believe the same thing. And I'm going to keep making these kind of films even though people will attack them. That's something I'm learning to deal with.

Johnny Cola I got on Netflix through one of my resellers ChristianMovies.com. They just emailed me one day and told me to ship them some DVDs for Netflix.

Nope, not SDA but I used a lot of their material for research because some it is right on the money. I'm actually doing another film along the same lines hopefully in a few years with a tighter theology. The SDA stuff is a little bit lose and I think I'm going to stay with the things I'm most sure about so I can explain them better. Plus I want to break the discussion up presenting it from different POVs but have it become one whole at the end. The key for me is better production value overall.

The beauty is since you don't have any Hollywood ties none of them can tell you what to do. Hit some festivals, you may be suprised at how you're recieved. But festivals do like controversy. I was just reading how a simple article on intelligent design inflamed the scientific community. And most of these scientist weren't too scientific in their attack. So anything that remotely is associated with God will freak people out. Sadly this seems to be what draw an aduience, but it draws an audience with opinions before they get in the film. Either way if you can get the word out about it I think you'll do well.

Congrats Perception! I'm glad to hear that your movie's in netflix. I'm glad to see that you are doing something you believe in and not letting others get you down. I'm pretty sure you're doing what you are meant to be doing (like that guy in your film). Keep it up!

Thanks HKFF for the encouraging words. I feel just like that guy in the film. Kind of on a similar journey. I plan to keep at it.
