jan, has there/will there be a price reduction on the pal version?

Jan has no relationship to the PAL territories, she's the US product line manager. It's up to the other territories to set their own prices, so Panasonic Europe, or Panasonic Asia Pacific, etc. would be the ones to ask that question to.

cheers
yeah i've tried ringing a few people
panasonic australia don't even know if they make the dvx anymore
they put me onto an authorised dealer who have been trying to find out from panasonic and will inform me when they find out (i hope)
but it doesn't look like it will get a price drop
if it does then i might save up and get it
if not, i'll wait for a pro solid state cam with a reasonable price

Doesn't it do pretty much what the DVX100 does? It doesn't have the actual 24p you can get in 720 in variable framerates w/ the HVX, but it can cheat it like the DVX.-zach- said:It doesn't have a 24p option though.
