Nice. It’s come down ~$10K since it’s introduction five years ago, if memory serves me correctly. One of the best purchases, I’ve made, with regards to large sensor camera gear. It is essentially the s35 equivalent of the 13x4.5(in usefulness, not FoV).

Jim, any knowledge(shareable or otherwise) on the rumored new Canon PL “Sumire” primes(As Canon Rumors calls them)?

Do you have to sign the NDA forms? Like, "I am Jim, swear not to leak with any solemn predictions of metaphysical certitude" and so on?

And what's the penalty if you do leak? No more "I shoot Dual Pixels" hats and T-shirts? No more invites to the post-Oscar soirees? Free trips around the world on Canon Airlines?

An inquiring mind wants to know.

I'm under the same NDA as Jim and the penalty will be being shunned/ignored or possibly having your dealer authorization yanked by Canon or whoever else you have signed an NDA with.
If you write about, sell, represent a brand, an NDA is a form of trust that "we would like for you to help us publicize this new cool product and you get to see it and know about it before the rest of the world but you need to keep your big yap closed until such and such date."
I don't have all of the fine print in front of me and I'm definitely not a lawyer but I would imagine at least some of them contain language where the entity could sue you for breach of confidentiality or contract as well. I kind of like the NDA, it's the modern gentleman's agreement
that used to be bonded with just a handshake by people with some class. I would never break one, it would be stupid and kind of a low thing to do.

I'm actually under half a dozen NDAs right now for NAB new products.

In the "Longest day", there is a line of dialog spoken by Hans von Salmuth (C-in-C, German 15th Army), "I am too old of a bunny to be really excited about this".

And I am older now than von Salmuth was in 1944 (albeit barely)

Speaking of the Longest Day, great movie!.....EVERYBODY was in it. Quite a few of the American & British actors were working on Cleopatra but production was shut down due to difficulties with the lead actress & money issues for Fox...so, many went and joined the cast of TLD, shot their scenes, and went back to Italy & Egypt to finish Cleo.....

I have the NDA on the D-Day.

Seriously, the book was great but IMO, so much was stuffed into the film, the plot became barely discernible. Now, had they done it as a miniseries - and those weren't popular back then and wouldn't become popular until the mid-late 1970's - it would have done justice to the book.

The same happened with the "Bridge Too Far", which was also based on a Cornelius Ryan's book. The "Last Battle" was never filmed.

Anyway, the early announcements are already coming out. The Abwehr must know something.

I guess B&H “don’t need no stinking NDA”. Or more than likely, someone on their web team just F’d up big time.

They dropped a five plus minute hands-on video with some of the Sumire(soo-me-ray) primes on a C700, yesterday.

They've done the same thing with like 30 different products in the last 5 years.

At some point, I'd think it's on purpose.

Yes, nobody was supposed to announce anything until 9amEDT today so...Bad B&H!
