New convert to the HVX here!

I've replied to a few posts today but want to introduce myself now that I've officially ordered an HVX200 today. I'm an author doing a monthly DVD instructional series, as well as a video podcast once a week or so, all shot in front of a green screen. In my own haste I bought a DVX about six weeks ago, not knowing how much of a headache the DV footage would be to pull a key from. Needless to say, I've put it up for sale and ordered the HVX.

Here's a sample clip I did on the DVX:

It's halfway decent but watch it on a TV and any experienced videographer will see the flaws - definitely not up to par for DVD use.

I'm excited to get the HVX in my hands and begin using it :)
And I'll do my best to use search and keep the stupid questions to a minimum :)

Thanks to everyone who offered their advice in my HVX vs. Andromeda decision, I think I definitely made the right choice for a variety of reasons.

That was done on the DVX with FCP's Chroma-Key filter. It's probably 80% satisfactory on a TV but if you look closely you see the "marching ants" or "boiling" effect around the edges of the matte, very unprofessional, hence my upgrade to the HVX.

I'm sure I could pull a better key if I spent more time or outsourced it, but quite honestly that's not how I want to spend my time. Can't wait to see the HVX keys :-)
