New car commercial shoot with 5d,7d,gh-1

wow this looks fantastic, can you explain what workflow did u use? was it done on green screen or attached the camera at the front of the car? Looks very interesting

Shot in Full HD using various HDSLRs- Canon 5D mk.II, Canon 7D, Panasonic GH1, various prime and zoom lenses and adapters (Canon, Nikon, Linos/Rodenstock), and car mounts- Manfrotto suction cups and Ronford SuperGrip. Also included are several timelapse shots, using an intervalometer, and some multiple exposition shots.
All the actors are cast from the Tel-Aviv clubbing and nightlife scene, in order to enhance the "Club Seat" exclusive customer club. The shots were further enhanced in post for a low DOF look using Frischluft depth of field plugins and careful masking and color correction.

Looks good!

Just curious - what lights did you use in the cars and where were they placed?

Oh, and what's the name of the song?

Very nice. Not much into cars, but I like the feel of it :)

Watched it a couple of times, the only thing that started to bug me was the hands on the steering wheel, it doesn't quite feel like they're driving the vehicle. Not sure why. Maybe it is the jumping opposite to the direction their turning into. Very minor issue, though.

Very nice.

really really nice! how did you get the shots so steady? no bumps in the road, cause when i use my suction mount it jellos and wobbles everywhere! any tips??

Nice! Not that it matters but could you maybe post a breakdown of which cameras were used for which shots?

I liked how the wide lens made the car look bigger than it actuallu is. The shots were so steady that my first thought was that it was green/blue screened. I liked the commercial...looked like fun to shoot.

hi all

thank you very much for all the kind words

the setup

all the shoots from the front was done with 5d with 24/1.4 because we needed the extra FOV to get the right frame (we could do it with the 7d but we needed wider lens and we couldn't found one that is fast as the 24)
we shoot at 800 asa f/1.6 1/50 natural-contrast /sharpness all the way down

inside the car we used the 7d with canon 10-22 /f3.5 at 1250 asa\

we also used the 7d for the drive by and for the last shoot of the car
with my tamron 17-50 f/2.8

all the inserts and the time laps were shoot with the gh-1 with nikon 16-22

the car was pulled by the grip truck and we used for the front a super grip suction which

has 3 legs

i think the feel of the green screen come form the bluer they did in post to the front shoot

(i didn't like it 2)

we never had any problem with jello even when we did the test with one suction cup and me driving

Brutha... You are insanely talented! I only have one request. Next time get someone to shoot behind the scenes footage. i would have loved to have seen a making of this shoot.
