"prices to be determined"

That's scary. Sometimes these "accessories" cost more than the product they're meant to accessorize. (Just look at the Zacuto lineup.)

No... Way. I've been waiting for this for a long time. IS... Canon mount lenses .... GH2... Holy crap. This is a game changer I think.
No, I said I don't think it does IS! They would've mentioned it on their website as that is really the major advantage... anyway wait and see

There's a couple that have been announced. Birger's the most expensive but it does IS. Unfortunately, that one looks like vaporware. Redrock has one, it's also expensive but it exists. It's a bit bulky. Hopefully Metabones announces an EF adapter for the m4/3's. They just released one for the Sony NEX cameras.

Ah... I got a bit too excited there and misread. An electronic adapter with IS for canon lenses would be incredible. I'd actually be able to do shoulder work without the jitters.

My shoulder rig is smooth and steady with no IS. Handheld is another matter.

Definitely, mine as well. But I can be pretty picky. What most people call steady, to me looks like the sensor having a seizure. Even though the frame may appear to be rock steady, inside, it's easy to spot lots of jittery motion. It's always been this way with the GH2, and that's why I try to work with a steadicam or lock down my shots. I can deal with shoulder rig done right with not a lot of walking and mostly panning.

Right. I agree with you regarding walking.. always a bad result. I was playing with my shoulder rig which also can be configured like a Fig Rig and with the IS on the kit lens I was pretty happy with the ability to walk around with it. Looked bad without it.

This could be a huge boon for Panasonic if they can get our Canon EF lenses to work with their cams. I'd love to see my 24mm f/1.4 on a GH2. Also being able to use the Tokina 11-16 with electronic aperture control would be amazing.

Thanks for the link!

Cheers,
Pete

Hey guys, just curious if this adapter is available at this point? (and where?) I see the one with their own aperture blades but wasn't able to locate this electronic one.

Ah, missed that thread - thanks for the information. I guess let's hope Metabones can come through.
