Has anybody else used this lens? I'm still wondering whether the lens loses light transmission when zooming while stopped down. Also, is the zoom controller nice and smooth or does it abruptly start and stop? How is the IS?

I would love to know that too! If at 80mm the brightness is the same as at 18mm, this lens is a real beast.

^Can I assume that the 18-80 is currently attached to that cam? I would like to think a high-line Canon lens would function fully but I'm coming off many other lens that do not talk auto-iris with the 100...

Really need a actual user of this lens on a C100/II to verify auto-iris. "Should work" is not going to get it with me as I have little time to place and wait for an order to go through. Anyone??

dumb question....isn't that the point of T stop...? vs. F stop?
That T stop is the same amount of light at the back of the lens (closest to the senor) while F stop is at the front of the lens?
