New canon a1 short movie.

Congratulations. I quiet enjoyed your film. There's a couple of scenes where the light isn't really my cup of tea, but that is a personal option. Even though I have to agree with the rest about the film being a bit cheese (the beam of light at the end was a bit much for me) I feel it's really refreshing to see something like this when most forums are crowded with shorts about revenge, zombies, guns and so on. My main criticism is the acting. This is clearly an actor's piece and it deserver a lot of rehearsing. If you have a strong story and a strong cast people will get over any other possible flaws after a little while...but it doesn't really work the other way around...you may have incredible shots and lightning but if your story and actors suck then there's no saving your film (your actors don't SUCK but they're not good enough not to be distracted by the acting). Being a huge fan of "actor's films" I'm a big endorser of getting to know your actors and rehearsing all you can with them.
Once more, congratulations. I'm looking forward to seeing your next work.

Hey bballis, been tied up but i'm going to try and upload you a hd version of this short very soon. But if your having any doubts about this holding up in hd,let me tell you.the canon a1 when lit correctly looks as good as big budget projects when viewed on hd tvs in my opinion.and for the question about the homeless guy looking up at the guy riding the bike, this actualy stemed from his fear that someone was watching him because the little girl new his name and they had never met before. Also thank you rafa for the detailed feedback, and i hope you will enjoy the next prject which will be a phycological thriller that won't be chessy at all.by the way i made this cheesy on purpose.LOL.
