C500: New C500 for 9K Euros?

So maybe this is a sign that the C500 (with this price drop), could become the model for the New C300 MKII. Just thinking out loud..........

Any other thoughts for discussion? And the New C500 MKII would consist of ???
 
Well. A heck of a price drop... A great deal. If they are showing this price and is for real then maybe you should hold our breath...
 
We should see quite a few pricing shifts over the next few months, I'd certainly entertain a cheap C500 OG vs a C300 Mark II depending on what Canon delivers.
 
Mr. Reid (EOSHD) mentions something about PerkCamera buying two C500s when they first came out but couldn't sell the two units to this point, so this is just two units and for this specific store not a price drop at all. If it's true, one hell of a deal!
 
Maybe the price changed again, but Park Camera lists the C500 for 9.999 British Pound - not Euros.
That's close to 13000€.
BUT incl. 20% VAT, so around 11000 for business owners, which is just 1500 more than a C300 on mainland Europe.
So, still a great deal;)
 
Yes typo in the title, sorry. I did convert the US equivalent from BP (15K US). If someone can go and check what's up with this it'd be helpful, I mean no one should be selling a 20K C500 for 15K for no reason!
 
Wow, an amazing price for the C500! If I had the money, I would jump on it. It is a really nice camera.

Also, a new C100 without the AF upgrade is $3999. So used prices just got slashed again!

Yes it is an amazing price... Used pricing is going south quickly with Canons price change and competitive pressures from other manufacturers.
