Hi guys,

I've just published my new blog, reviewing and comparing DSLR viewfinders.

I took a really close look at the Zacuto Z-Finder Jr, Z-Finder Pro 2.5x, LCDVF, Cavision, Hoodman HoodLoupe and an accessory by Redrock Micro when I was assisting Philip Bloom on the Lucasfilm Red Tails reshoots last month in Prague.

I finally found the time to write it all up and publish my most extensive blog post so far!

Looking forward to your comments and feedback. Thanks!
Spreading the word is always appreciated.

I will read this tomorrow when I have a minute & thanks for your efforts. Looks extensive.

boulder is right….you gotta review the new kid on the block!

Awesome review- definitely confirmed a lot of what I read but with some new insights as well.
As a t2i owner I'm stoked for that LCDVF 3/2....! Except I can't find it anywhere, know where/when we'll be able to get it?

I used to hate the Hoodman, but with the eye cup, magnification and the arm to hold it, it's a pretty good deal fro $200.

It looks very much like an exact rip-off of the LCDVF while being not that much cheaper (the price is right at glidetrack.com). Also, somebody on my forum commented that the LCDVF customer service is superb and they will exchange broken stuff for free in many cases.

I've got to agree you're being hard on the hoodman. It seems you didn't give it a good test or use the 3.0 Mag. It's excellent for judging focus. You really should ask them for the upgrad and review it again, because thopse reviews really do influence buyers.
I recently compared it to the 3.0 Zacuto (maybe the 2.5 would be better) and preferred the hoodman. Plus it works great on my EX-1 as well.
The straps do suck though they have that new crane and I've come up with my own system that works great on a T2i - though you can't buy it.

I'll bet that swing away system you reviewed would work for a hoodman also.
