AC160 New AC160 to complete an ongoing DVX100b film - need settings advice urgently

I've been using a DVX100b on a personal documentary project for about 3 years or so (note that I'm primarily a digital still landscape photographer not a full time videographer/filmmaker - I know the essentials of DVX- but not every last detail of other latest vid tech.or terminology necessarily). The basic settings I've used on the DVX have been (my scene file 1) 24pa, cine-gamma, matrix normal, v detl thin, - these have remained constant throughout filming..and I like this look for what I'm after visually.
I would like some advice from either someone who has been through similar or others, about how to best get close to that "look" from my DVX (with above settings) in the AC160. I would assume that I would use the AC160 SD mode at the outset, but heard someone suggest that it would be best to record HD and then "res. down" for SD footage. Any and all help would be appreciated. (Note I haven't received the cam yet, and when I do, I'm going to have to jump on it and there is not going to be a lot of time for tests per se...also am waiting on the Barry Green 130/160 book as well)

Thanks in advance.
