New 7D Owner: Shot My Wife

Really nicely shot and edited...and of course having a lovely subject helps too. Great work in all regards.

Just some technical details...

Just shot it on the Canon 50mm 1.8 II. And I didn't color correct at all...I meant to, but forgot and liked how it came out. :D

Nice looking stuff and pretty impressive given your first stuff shot. Did you use anything but practical lighting? whats your videography and photography background before this?

Well edited for sure, and yes you have a pretty wife.

I used 2 1K softboxes...one behind her, one to the right of the camera. Moved them as necessary.

I've been in video/film for about 4 years, graduated from the Toronto Film School in 2006... Work for a production company in Vegas now.

Brandon - put the camera down, pay attention to your wife.

Looked great. You might be the first guy at DVXuser to actually use lights with their 7D :)

On the closeup of her eye I thought, "hmm, someone has a square softbox"

lol...yeah. I cared not at that point :)

Looks great!! What picture setting did you use?
Uhmm...I can't remember. I just picked one that I had heard about from the boards.

Looks good, nice rack...focus ;)

I get it!
