New 720p and 1080i Footage

If there is a 85% PC ratio on DVXuser - according Jarred - in the name of the PC users it begs anyone to transcode it, please?
 
I'm pc user too, the only way to see them is convert in wmv files and convert again to
divx! (Thanks crappy Matrox Parhelia!) :(
 
Holy **** that skidking60p footage looks good! There's soo much depth and damn are the colors rich. Me likey.

Media convergence...but why will it be a spanish, other italian and the last one, the portuguese - three latin europeans - to ask 1080p?
 
That is some great looking footage. Any chance of some 1080p footage too? The skidding clip made me angry that I didn't have mine in my hands right now...what does that say about me?
 
seeing the fine lines of the interlacing on the 1080i pic, I realized just how far away from true 1080 resolution the cam really is. Oh well, 720p looks pretty good, and it's far better than SD. :beer:
 
well, watching the kaku pics, it is pretty obvious that there ARE some kind of artifacts in the shadows and that these cameras are far from real 1080 (p or i, though I am still waiting for some good p)... IMO, after having played a while with a kaku's 1080i png on photoshop, the hvx200 gives little more than 720 of verical rez...

anyway, the chorma test I did with the cheerleader pic prove that the camera is very capebale of providing good keys, even for indie features, the colors ARE richer and there should be no motion artifacts at all, so it still is a good tool for indie filmmakers and in good hands it will provide amazing results, that's for sure

no, what I'm saying is that the interlacing is the best resolution item on the screen. Everything else looks low-rez by comparison
 
Sorry guys but now I'm lost! Without seeing is difficult to say anything but regarding your opinion the footage is a disappointment, not true 1080?

look at the last picture from the original post(the 1080i one).
Look at the part where you can see the interlacing(it should be on the edge of the cars)
Now look at how hi-rez the interlacing is in comparison to the rest of the image.
