New 5000mah Batteries

Jarred word on the street is that you have new batteries hidding in your closet.  I do not mean to jump the gun on you, BUT can you give us some insight as to how many amp hours they will be, size (are they goingt to be bigger), price, and when they might come out of the closet.

Well i got the labels in today and they are ready to go.. I guess I gotta go make a page for them now.

i HATE saying time because everyone uses different amps in thier cameras.. but, to use the Panasonic method of saying that thier 1600mah cell lasts 2 hours, the 5000s get 3x the length, so 6 "panasonic" hours. That means no LCD and little zooms.

Wow 5000Mah?! Guess this means I dont have to use Panasonics 5200Mah battery anymore. Good the thing is too bulky. Can you give us a picture showing the physical size difference between the 3500 and your new 5000? Also what are the weights for both. I ask because I run my on camera light with a DVX battery and operate a steadicam at the same time. Size and weight are counted by the once. I need to know which battery makes sense for my application. Thanks Jarred.

Hey Jarred, what should the people who ordered two of the old ones do? (the price difference and when we'll get our batts). Much thanks. One idea that I came up with is giving us one of the 5000 and dvd packages or something? Let me know what would be the best to do. I have a copy of my paypal receipt if that helps track my order...

the old orders (that happened before the release of the new ones) have all been shipped out.. there where a few that ordered 2 old ones that where still not shipped at that point, and I slipped in one 5000 and one 3500 in the package more for having to wait than anything.

I got my batts today 8).

I had ordered two 3600 but Jarred was so kind and slipped a 5000 in there for the delay with the new batteries. I have SO MUCH POWER NOW ;D. I shot all day outdoors with LCD and the batts are GREAT!!!

I have yet to find a better deal and a better bunch of guys than on this site.

Jarred (and everyone else at DVXUSER) is most definately a great man.

All orders today go out Monday.. and quebec takes 2 days via xpresspost.
