NETHERBORN - Directed by Mark T. Aro

I don't see why you would. I can bring mine and that should be enough.

How high do you need Randall flown? 5 feet up... 10 feet? I have an 8 foot self standing ladder and a 20 foot extension ladder. Is yours high enough for your fly? The rig top wire should be at least high enough to be able to be above the green screen center top. The puller is behind the green or off to the side if the area is too small.

My 8' ladder should work. I have a location for the cable. My in-laws... it should work real well.

Gary... we are not shooting on the RED... logistics and time mainly, also I failed to realize that we don't have a lens and that I would need to rent one right now. I was not happy for about five seconds and then I realized that it would really simplify my workflow and that would make it possible for me to actually finish on time, what with the post on Push and The Impossible Race, I think RED in the mix is one to many things right now. I really want to shoot with it, but my workflow is in place with the HVX and it is less complicated all the way around.

Mostly I feel bad for you because we were going to use use the Hypercam and the RED, now we are just HVXing it... Still planning to use the HYPERCAM though.

Hey, the Red test is just a heavy test. Having shot stabilized camera with the Red for around 8 hours on PUSH, I remember the load that was. I can duplicate that with weights added to the sled in further testing with no problem whatsoever. I am looking forward to the shoot.

HA! You just said..."Just HVX'ing it'. Think what a Red-Camera spoiled guy you have become :cheesy:. The HVX is GREAT!!! I don't mind working lighter all day, for two days, and then again a week later. Doesn't bother me a bit. I'm old, remember?

Yeah, your work flow will really be faster now and that is really GOOD! Don't forget to remember to get a good tripod now for that HVX. and get all the batteries you can find.

Matt, with the HVX we can run your hi res monitor on the Hypercam sled. We'll just tape the battery. In the future I want to get a battery belt to go on the Hypercam vest. :kali:

Oh yeah... I have been working out all week carrying mucho weight in front of my body and practicing 'tanking' or moving with no wobble or bob. I ran 3 miles today. I'm ready for the Red but will just 'suffer through' with the lighter HVX. I'm going to sweat a lot in the next few days. :violent5:

If you could bring it that would be great.

Loaded up. I have: 2 generators, fuel, large rolling cart, table, 3 chairs, chains, cables, handles, come-along, small step ladder, 10'9" century stand, tarp, 500ft of extension cords, triples, quint plugs, mig welder, metal, grinder, drill, dremel, complete tool kit, winch, saw for limbs, flashlight, LED worklight, Hyper-Fly Rig, Hypercam, sleeping bag, clothes, water, food, and Darth Vader Imperial March button. (These are not the droids you are looking for...)

I am excited to get to see the new Hyper-Fly rig in action. I was even able to paint it in flat black coolness and get the Hypercam low rig attachment mount on it. :D

I dissected the control switch on the electric winch tonight and was bummed to see it is a 4 wire set up. I have to go by Lowes tomorrow and buy extension with 4 wires. The up side is that now I can make the control cable 80ft long.

I'm NOT bringing a ladder... (Trust in Mark... :engel017:)

Hey all,

I just got a message from Edgen and he has agreed to do the music for Netherborn..... YEAH:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Good stuff coming your way... and maybe one of these days I will get a poster together.

THAT'S GREAT NEWS! Hey, on the poster, you are a LITTLE busy now. Plus you may want to use some screen grab as the basis of the poster.

I got into the car this morning and then remembered to run back in and get the Hyper-Fly harness! Almost forgot it. If only I had a few things to remember...

The car is dragging on the ground! I had to over-inflate the tires.

Awesome! I loaded up the van this morning and almost forgot the Ladder!:Drogar-Dolar(DBG):

Yes it is... I think!

M

6 ft! Glad we found the 12 foot extension! :)

Your first weekend of shooting was run really well Mark. As usual, you are a wonderful director and a very talented artist who sees things that aren't and then makes them become reality. Can't wait to see grabs. But, get some sleep first. (I think Matt and I had one hour of sleep Friday night and then only 3 Saturday night. :violent5:)

BTW, The HYPER-FLY RIG rocked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was VERY pleased with its performance.

I had an awesome time shooting with you guys! Man pulling focus with the hyper-cam was quite an experience. I can't wait to put this stuff on my reel!!!

Your pulling focus on the Hypercam was amazing. Trying to hold it still against the slight force exerted on the rig was challenging. A remote focus would be a whole lot easier on the stabilized cameraman. I wonder how much those units cost?

BTW Shane, I kidnapped your tripod. Don't call the police or you'll never see it again.

I have to say to everyone involved... THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

I can't tell how much I truly appreciate all of your hardwork and efforts this project. I am really pleased with the first two days of shooting. We are looking at breaking up the rest of the shoting over a couple more days, because like you guys, I really suffered in the sleep deapartment. I was up from 5:00am on Friday... I slept two hours on saturday afternoon between The Impossible Race Shoot in the morniing and Netherborn shoot in the afternoon and then I didn't get back to sleep until 2am on Sunday. I should be sufficiently caught up on sleep by this weekend when we need to do it all over again.

:D

Oh well.... At least we are making films. It is well worth the lack of sleep.

Thanks again everyone!!

All of you, I admire your dedication, camaraderie and generosity. It is obvious you all are loving what you do and that's worth more than cash or prizes any day. Good luck to the Hyperdudes and dudettes!!!
