Needing WIDE CANON FD lens for AF100

Yea another thread about getting a wide lense for the af100, but, it's a serious problem for me lately. I have a canon FD 28. 50. and 135 but none of those satisfy my needs for a wide shot and I really just want a great set of FD's. I have a lumix 14-140 but only use that for outdoor events etc for obvious reasons. I see I can get a Canon FD 15mm but it's a fisheye other than that it seems like I'm just crap out of luck finding a wide FD lens or just a wide fast lens without paying out the ass. Kinda got me frustrated as of late and making me hate the 4/3 crop factor. Anyone have any experience using this canon FD "fisheye" on the af100? how bad is the distortion? Grrrrrrrrrrrrr.

FD 15 mm http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/companies/canon/fdresources/fdlenses/fish15mm.htm

canon fd 20 2.8 ssc is my widest fd lens.
the 17mm is quite slow at f4, and the 14mm would be nice but prizes for that lens seem unrealistic, if you manage to find one at all.
so, in my case i use a tokina 11-16 2.8 in nikon mount for those really wide angle needs. a good lens for a realistic prize, in my opinion.

but should you ever come across a 14mm fd, i would be interested to hear how that performs. (dont think it is actually better than the tokina)
give the tokina a try, i think you will not regret it

The nikon mount Tokina 11-16 is real nice. Not FD but a simple Nikon adapter would solve that problem and then you have a 22mm-32mm at 2.8

I know you want Canon FD mount but the 7-14 Lumix is an awesome lens. Not fast but the field of view at 7mm is crazy! Its like a 14mm.

The fisheyes a little harder to use and the FD's fisheyes are slower as you noted. I have the tokina 11-16 2.8 with a Nikon mount and it does the trick nicely for now. Voigtlander just announced the 17mm .95 in M43 and that's where I'd be looking for a good, fast wide. I have the Voigt 25mm .95 and besides being absolutely beautiful and usable in a cine setting, it cuts very well with my FD L series like the 50 1.2 and 85 1.2. It's so close to the same feel as the 50 1.2 it's scary. The 85 needs to be stopped down a bit to match.

Camera Quest (the US distributor) will have the 17mm in May they say. I already have a deposit down.

Good luck!

Wide angles are harder in 35mm still world. A 14mm fish eye is only a 24mm on your AF-100. That basically blows.
I went with the Lumix 7-14 and the 24mm f2.5 because of that and now have the Duclos 11-16 Tokina.
The 14mm f2.5 Pancake is nice and sharp as well as fast but wont work with a matte box and follow focus. But it’s a very good lens. Looks silly as all hell on the AF-100 but looks aren’t everything.

At $330 it’s pretty sweet.
