It worked
Also liked the grading.
The good choice of location and available light, helped with that of course.
Did you slow down further ind post or is it just the 60i to 24p timeline method?
Spartacus, I did like two shots where I slow it down more than 60fps to 24p, I did that in after effects. I used the frame blending option and to help and blend the frames even more I added "pixel motion blur" plugin in AE.
The funny thing about the grade was that it was kept to a minimal. I tried to get the look as best as i could in cam because AVCHD. Its deff not a strong codec to mess around with, but it was not the worse experience ive had with it. I did use filmconvert but opacity was kept to like 30-40% I used other luts and curves to tighten up the look.
Yeah, I agree. The slomo was a nice touch. And great job with the color! The close-up of your subject's hand on the yellowish grains/wheat really grabbed my attention!
then, there was a semi/wide shot of your subject, in side/profile with the trees in the background, where her head hits the lower third of the frame with tons of space above her. I thought it really conveyed a sense of either feeling small in a vast world, and/or a sense of her wondering/thinking/lost in imagination. It thought it made sense with your theme. In fact, I thought it could have stayed a bit longer on that shot...although that may just be my bias for slower paced editing here
Slowmo all looks fine. There was one slowmo shot in very low light that felt soft, but that is likely just the low light. Otherwise, the slowmo throughout felt like a camera made to do 60p.
