Need Underwater Housing for Canon A1

Hi all,

I am going to Hawaii in September for a shoot with the Canon A1, and am looking to pick up an underwater housing for the camera. We were hoping to get the Gate's housing, but it appears to not be ready. It seems that Equinox has a model for the A1, and we think we might go with that. My question is, does anyone know of places to rent these for a week shoot? We were hoping to find a dealer in Hawaii, but we haven't had any luck. I'm interested in all suggestions...Thanks!

You could just do what everyone use to do with the Varicam... Buy the housing on ebay... Use it for the shoot... Turn around and sell it on ebay for more than you bought it... : )

I was told that was the reason for the varicams $25k price drop.... Just a thought...
