Need Some Help!! HVX 2 FCP and Back

Hey All,

I've only had my camera for a week or so and I need some answers. I'm shooting a short little DVCPro 50 clip tomorrow morning for the Big XII women's tournament and I need to import it into FCP adjust it a bit, throw it back out to the camera, then hook the camera up to a broadcast truck so they can use it for their intro.

Can I record back onto a P2 card from FCP? I know there is an easier way to do this, like burning a DVD for them, but this is how they want to do it.

Any suggestions??

You'd have to play back in your FCP Timeline, and record to the HVX via FW. You'll be doing real time recording, though. And I've never actually tested this method. FCP won't convert from QT back to MXF. Ask the broadcasters if they can simply handle a QT DVCPRO-HD file. If so, get a portable FW drive, the type that doesn't need a power supply.
