So my HVX and I were unexpectidly nailed with a huge splash of water a couple weeks ago and I think my Input 1 and 2 are busted. I had just finished an interview set so both caps were off leaving them completely exposed. Hoping that with a quick dry they'd be fine, but I can't get either to work with any of my mic equipment.
Keeping in mind my warranty has long since expired - Should I send the camera into Panasonic's service center for repair or should I take it to my local camera shop (Keeble & Shuchat Photo/Video in Palo Alto, CA) and have them look at it?
I've never needed a repair before so I'm not 100% as to what the better play is here. Your thoughts are much appreciated!
Thanks!
